Zug/Zurich, December 13, 2018: SUSI Partners AG acquires seven turbines in the Nøjsomheds Odde wind farm from European Energy Group through its Renewable Energy Fund II. The turbines are located in the municipality of Lolland, Denmark and have a total capacity of 25.2 MW.
The Nøjsomheds Odde wind farm was commissioned in February 2018 and consist of a total of 9 Vestas V117-3.45 MW turbines with upgraded power mode to 3.6MW. SUSI has acquired 7 turbines, while the current owner will retain 2 turbines. The SUSI turbines will supply the equivalent amount of energy for 21,000 households, and help reduce CO2 emissions by displacing fossil fuel generation by approximately 28,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. The wind farm receives the Danish feed-in premium of 25 øre per MWh.
Knud Erik Andersen, CEO of European Energy, said: “Similar to us, SUSI pushes the expansion of renewable energy to grow its business activities and fight climate change. Therefore, I am proud that SUSI has chosen one of our projects for their portfolio. This is the first transaction we have done with SUSI and I believe we can grow the relationship in the future.”
CIO of SUSI, Marco van Daele, said: “The acquisition of Nøjsomheds Odde represents SUSI’s first investment in the Danish renewables market which we deem attractive due to the strong wind resource, experienced developers delivering high quality projects, and attractive remuneration of clean power generated. We look forward to investing further in the country.”
