European Energy surpass three GW of renewable energy assets under management
Feb 26, 2024

At the start of 2024, European Energy had more than three GW of renewable energy capacity under its management.
European Energy has surpassed three GW of renewable energy assets under management by the start of 2024. The same figure for last year was 2.3 GW.
With the many more renewable energy assets under management, production was also increased significantly.
“2024 is going to be an exciting year for European Energy’s Asset Management & Operations. We are looking for a change in data availability and analysis benefiting our clients. Historically we have only managed parks that European Energy has been a part of developing, or that were part of our portfolio. But now we offer this service to anyone with a renewable energy asset,” says Jacob Gotfred Johansen, Executive Vice President and Head of Asset Management and Operations at European Energy.
“Operating more than three GW of renewable energy assets efficiently, across 12 countries, means that there is a lot of hard work maintenance and management happening all around our parks at any given time. European Energy has managed to produce 4.2 TWh of green electricity across its assets during 2023 – which is a testament to the efficiency of our teams.”
In 2023 European Energy tripled its production of electricity from its portfolio of assets that European Energy owns either fully or any part of compared to 2022. This means that in 2023, European Energy produced electricity from this portfolio comparable to the production in the years of 2020, 2021 and 2022 combined.
Of the more than three GW assets that European Energy manages, 1,7 GW is owned by European Energy, with the rest owned by clients.
