European Energy and First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang Bunda People Development Corporation to develop wind farm in Australia

Copenhagen, Denmark, 4th of December 2024 – European Energy and the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang Bunda People Development Corporation (FNBGGGTB Development Corporation) have announced that they will develop a wind farm together in the Gladstone State Development Area in Queensland Australia.

The FNBGGGTB Development Corporation is the operational arm of the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang Bunda People Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC), dedicated to ensuring traditional custodians share in the economic prosperity of the Gladstone area.

For the past nine months, European Energy and the FNBGGGTB Development Corporation have been collaborating on renewable energy opportunities on traditional country.  

European Energy is close to 250MW in capacity of the park, subject to remaining feasibility studies. This would be able to potentially reduce carbon emissions by over five million tonnes annually and attracting additional investment and jobs to the region.
