Denmark, Copenhagen, 13th of October, 2025 – European Energy will be the official case company for the CBS GLOBAL Case Competition 2025. Through the partnership, students from universities around the world will be invited to work on a real business challenge from the renewable energy sector.
Developed together with student organisers from Copenhagen Business School, the case will invite participants to examine strategic and practical questions linked to European Energy’s work in developing renewable energy projects across international markets.
“Working with CBS GLOBAL Case Competition allows us to meet some of the brightest students and hear their ideas about how to accelerate the green transition and create value for our company,” says Frederik Brenøe Lange, Director and Head of Group Strategy at European Energy.
“We see great value in creating spaces where young academics can challenge our thinking and bring fresh perspectives on how to make renewable energy more accessible and scalable.”
GLOBAL is an international case competition and CBS Case Competition’s response to an increasingly digitised world. GLOBAL is open to all university students. The initial round and semi-finals will be held digitally, allowing all students from around the world to take part in the case-solving experience. The GLOBAL final will be held in-person and streamed online from Copenhagen. The top 3 teams will be flown to Copenhagen and present in person in the grand final.
“We are delighted to welcome European Energy as our case company for 2025,” says Jeppe Vittrup Olesen, Head of the CBS GLOBAL Case Competition.
“The renewable energy industry represents one of the defining challenges and opportunities of our generation. Collaborating with European Energy allows us to engage students in a case that is both academically demanding and socially relevant.”
Previous case partners have included Novo Nordisk, Pandora, Carlsberg and IKEA. Many of these partnerships have continued beyond the competition, with companies further developing ideas generated during the case process.
