Jens-Peter Zink

Jens-Peter Zink is Deputy CEO of European Energy, where he leads the company’s commercial, financial and market development activities. With more than two decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, he has played a central role in expanding European Energy’s global footprint across Europe, the Americas, and the Oceanic region. Before joining European Energy in 2005, Jens-Peter worked as auditor for KPMG for 10 years. He also worked as an external lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. His expertise covers the full value chain of renewable energy — from project origination and financing to construction and asset management. Jens-Peter holds a degree in accounting and is known for his pragmatic leadership and ability to bridge technical, financial, and policy perspectives in advancing the green transition.

European Energy is an international company with a development pipeline exceeding 66 GW of renewable energy projects within solar, off-/onshore wind and storage.

Since 2021, the company has been engaged in Power-to-X (PtX). In 2024, European Energy inaugurated its first green hydrogen facility in Denmark, followed by the launch of the world’s first large-scale commercial e-methanol facility, Kassø, also located in Denmark.

In addition to renewable energy projects and PtX, the company is also involved in carbon capture and battery storage (BESS). In the field of BESS, the company has made great strides in recent years and now has a pipeline of 15 GWh across all markets.
