Q&As with Tomasz
Who are you?
My name is Tomasz, I’m a father and husband and enjoy running. I have lived in Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Spain, US and Australia and worked mostly with Danish companies, bridging business, IT and people.
How would you describe yourself?
I’ve been called a kind bulldozer, and it has stuck with me. I tend to be quite stubborn, but in a nice way, I suppose. Other than that, I am an open-minded generalist and listener who loves diversity and surprises.
What do you do at European Energy?
I drive transformational internal programmes, implementing processes, technology and organizational change – bringing that internal structure needed to enable EE’s efficient growth from within.
How do you try to be a creative enabler of the green transition?
By establishing more efficient ways of reaching objectives, I am enabling my colleagues in the frontline to do even more, growing EE’s impact on the green transition.
What is the best thing about working at European Energy?
The entrepreneurial gene across the organization and the positive collaborative spirit, but also the opportunity in helping an already successful company to be even more successful in terms of growth and the positive impact on the world through green transition.
Why is it important for you that European Energy is a driving force in the green transition?
I love working for a cause I believe to be good for the world, EE is driving the green transition, and I help drive EE.
What are the best things about your colleagues?
The best thing about my colleagues is that they are as diverse as they come, fun to work with, and very supportive. We are not bored together, that’s for sure.
European Energy has six core values. In it together, Excitement, Inclusion, Agility, Trust & Courage, and Ambition. What are the most important values for you and why?
I really like “In it together” as efficient teamwork and supporting each other, meeting up with a positive attitude is a very important element of the workplaces I choose. “Trust and Courage” are up there as well, as I strongly believe in delivering on promises and acting for a good cause, as well as being bold in moving the frontline.
What has been your best experience so far at European Energy?
The best thing about European Energy is the honest and supportive atmosphere we have in my department – it allows us to continuously take on the challenges. But also, how much impact you as an individual actually can have on the way we do things.
What do you like to do outside work?
I run far and am out on the trails during any free time between work, family and sleep – it provides me with the needed physical exercise, but also meditation and good opportunity to process the many inputs I get during the day. It also allows me to experience the world as you get around quite a bit, and I strongly recommend it as a great way for some sightseeing even on busy trips – just get up one hour earlier than you normally would and explore the surroundings.
